Video Frame Extractor is built so that your videos never leave your device. All processing — reading the file, decoding the video, capturing frames, encoding JPG/PNG images and packing ZIP archives — happens locally in your browser.

Your videos and images

No upload. The video file you select is read directly from your device. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
No storage. Extracted frames exist only in your browser's memory. Closing the tab discards them. We operate no media storage.
No user accounts. The tool works without sign-up, so we keep no account profiles for tool usage.

Technical data

Like most websites, the site may use standard, privacy-respecting analytics to count anonymous usage events (for example, that a batch extraction started or a download happened). These events contain no file names, no video content and no generated images — only coarse counters. If analytics is configured, it is governed by the respective provider's policy.

Local data

The tool stores your UI preferences (such as dark mode) in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your browser.
